CONVERSION TERMS & CONDITIONS.
Ahead of your conversion scheduled at Cherry Campers, please ensure that your vehicle is delivered with as little fuel as possible within the fuel tank; This is especially required if you have specified installation of a Autoterm Planar Heater or Wallas XC Duo, also equally important if you are having Kombi or Caravelle seating removed. For Health & safety reasons (due to the fact that the fuel tank has to be completely removed from the vehicle chassis) the weight of the tank cannot exceed the recommended guidelines. If the vehicles tank is too heavy as a consequence of high fuel levels, unfortunately the tank will have to be drained to achieve a manageable removal weight.
All vehicles must arrive internally and externally clean for any scheduled conversions works; this will allows us to complete the works in a safe and timely manor. If for any reason your vehicle does not arrive clean, you will incur Cherry Campers hourly workshop rate of £75 + VAT per hour to rectify to a satisfactory standard.
Please ensure that your vehicle arrives in house with any previous interior works removed; IE. Factory Ply Lining – The minimum that we will accept is factory interior fibre board panelling unless by prior arrangement.
Ensure that your locking wheel nut & Radio code is given to the Cherry Campers ahead of any scheduled Alloy wheel or Audio upgrades.
All customer belongings must be removed from the vehicle prior to your arrival at Cherry Campers, the only Items required by us to be left in the vehicle are Jack and brace kit & Locking wheel nut. Please remove all floor mats, service records, emergency kit, Child Safety seats, air fresheners, CD’s etc. We will not be held responsible for the damage or loss of any personal items.
At Cherry Campers we will do everything within reason to ensure works are completed within discussed time frames, however please understand unforeseen delays may occur due to part delays, staff sickness, custom built aspects etc which will result in timeframes being extended. We're also perfectionists, if we don't think something is quite right in the van we will delay until we are 100% happy with the finish. We do not recommend booking excursions in your vehicle until the keys are back in your hands.
Rest assured that whilst your vehicle is in house undergoing its conversion, the vehicle is fully covered on site as a part of Cherry Campers Insurance policy and will be kept indoors outside working hours.
BUILD SPECIFIC – PAYMENT TERMS.
A £1000 Initial Deposit payment is required when booking onto our schedule here at Cherry Campers, due to the fact that we have to order in materials weeks in advance of a vehicles arrival. Cherry Campers has unfortunately been caught out in the past ordering in materials, ie. Elevating Roofs / RIB Seating and our client has had to cancel due to their financial circumstances leaving us with unwanted stock. Should you need to postpone your conversion start date, you will not lose the deposit payment.
A 50% Deposit of the total build specification is required 20 working days prior to any conversion works commencing on a client’s vehicle, taking into account the initial deposit payment already received. This is to allow the ordering of all components needed ahead of a scheduled build, to ensure all products are on the shop floor ahead of any vehicles arriving with us.
On the day the vehicle is dropped off to Cherry Campers for work to commence, a further payment of 25% is required. This begins to cover our labour cost and allows us to begin work on your vehicle in our workshop. (Please note that no work will commence on your vehicle until the 25% payment is received).
The Final 25% outstanding balance is to be paid on completion; Clients are more than welcome to see their vehicle fully converted before making their final payment, be this via personal inspection or photographs. However all remaining funds have to be cleared with Cherry Campers before we allow any converted vehicles to leave our premises.
VARIOUS PAYMENT METHODS ARE EXCEPTED; EITHER VIA AN ONLINE BALANCE TRANSFER (BACS) OR VIA THE CARD PAYMENT FACILITIES IN HOUSE.
We encourage potential customers to visit our workshop before booking it to have a look at our current workload and a tour of the workshop where we build our vans. However, due to the noisy and potential dangerous environment we insist on site visit being booked in before travelling to us.
One month prior to your build date, we will book a dedicated consultation slot to enable us to offer a full workshop tour where you will have an in-depth insight into how we operate and manage our builds, viewing the whole process from initial design through to the finished vehicle. Any designs, drawings, spec sheets or even rough sketches are welcome, the more information we are provided the better, we want to ensure the vehicle that leaves us is exactly as you have imagined. During this consultation we will make all fixture and fittings choices along with upholstery and furniture finishes etc.
All our prices are listed on our website as we operate a fully transparent pricing structure, please contact us if there are any prices you cannot find and we will be more than happy to quote.
